Locker mobile workshop review
LOCKER is a mobile repair workshop designed for maintenance and repair of wheeled machinery in the field, far away from its bases, vehicle fleets or service centers, for example, in road construction, in agricultural works, in military affairs, etc.
Such workshops are built on the basis of the chassis of pickup trucks (mainly off-road vehicles), which carry a enclosed service utility body installed with all the necessary accessories - lifting equipment, power supplies, tire service and welding equipment, professional hand tools, lighting devices, battery booster-charger and other.
The workshops are not intended for use on the battlefield, but allow to repair and evacuate the machinery in the field, and can also be used as small electric power 5.5kW and compressed air 360l/min stations.
LOCKER is a special transport to perform repair works in the field at a distance from stationary repair facilities.
This is a unique project, designed and built by Ukrainian engineers. Such a small vehicle provides almost everything for quick or long-term repairs. None army in the world has similar workshop.
A lot of hand tools, air compressor, generator, welding machine and many others are compactly located inside workshop’s enclosed service body.
Auxiliary equipment: shovel, saw, axe, fire extinguishers, four plastic tanks for any liquids (including oil products). Retractable work bench is in the rear of the vehicle which is very convenient for short-term repairs.
The mobile workshop is designed for long-term work in the field. The workshop equipment depends on the specific needs of the customer and can be customized.
The vehicle is equipped with a reinforced front bumper with electric cable hoist. Tow bar on the rear bumper. The vehicle frame has been upgraded to strengthen traction loads. Heavy duty off-road towing strap and reinforced strap for pulling stuck light armored vehicles out of the fording site.
Tire changer is in the center of the enclosed service utility body for quick tire mount/demount works.
Three independent power sources – diesel generator, portable power station with solar panel and also it can be plugged into external electrical network.
Compressed Air is needed to inflate the tires, unscrew rusted nuts and bolts with the pneumatic tools, lifting the vehicles with an air jack etc.
